Sound Design
The Bauhaus Infinity Archive exhibition (awarded with ADC Silver Nail 2022) allows you to explore part of the more than one million object collection for the first time. For this interactive exhibit by ART+COM, we developed a sound design that conveys a light, futuristic mood for visitors while they playfully interact with the archive.
The goal of our sound concept was to create an inviting atmosphere for visitors in which the infinite depth of the virtual space tangibly extends into the physical.
This meant balancing the sonic conveyance of the exhibit's futuristic character with an approachable user experience.
Based on the organic aesthetics of the ambient, with its multi-layered shimmering sounds, we developed a reduced and warm electronic sound set for the interface that supports the playful character of the interaction.
Thus both ambient sound and interface sounds blend perfectly together in an overall user experience.
