Bauhaus Infinity Archive

Sound Design

In the award-winning Bauhaus Infinity Archive exhibition, visitors can interact with rare and fascinating objects from the world’s largest Bauhaus collection for the first time.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

SOUND CONCEPT

For this interactive exhibit by ART+COM, we developed a sound design that conveys a light, futuristic mood for visitors while they playfully interact with the archive.

The goal of our sound concept was to create an inviting atmosphere for visitors in which the infinite depth of the virtual space tangibly extends into the physical. This meant balancing the sonic conveyance of the exhibit's futuristic character with an approachable user experience.

The collection of the Bauhaus Archive

Based on the organic aesthetics of the ambient, with its multi-layered shimmering sounds, we developed a reduced and warm electronic sound set for the interface that supports the playful character of the interaction. Thus both ambient sound and interface sounds blend perfectly together in an overall user experience.
