At the BIOMUSEO in Panama City, three multichannel soundscapes accompany visitors through underwater worlds, rainforest environments, and indigenous musical references. The sound design follows the ecological layers presented across the museum’s immersive galleries.

Biomuseo Panama is a museum experience dedicated to the country’s biodiversity and ecological history. Across a sequence of exhibition galleries, visitors encounter different natural environments that reflect Panama’s unique geographical and biological conditions.
The exhibition moves from underwater habitats into dense rainforest environments and later into a gallery shaped by movement and music. Each space introduces a distinct acoustic atmosphere connected to the surrounding scenography and thematic content. Environmental recordings, animal sounds, and composed musical structures accompany the spatial progression through the museum.

For the project, we created three multichannel soundscapes designed specifically for the exhibition architecture and narrative flow. The compositions combine field recordings, environmental textures, and spatial composition techniques to create a coherent sonic layer across the galleries.
To support the scientific context of the museum, we developed a dedicated sound library representing regional flora and fauna. Our contribution included sound concept development, sound design, soundscape composition, and mix and master.
