PULS is a large-scale audiovisual artwork created for the Festival of Lights Berlin. Combining rhythmic light structures with immersive multichannel audio, the project transforms public space into a synchronized composition of movement, repetition and temporal progression.

The installation unfolds through evolving sequences of pulsing light and coordinated sound. Rhythmic transformation becomes the central compositional principle of the work, with recurring pulse structures shaping both the visual and sonic behaviour of the installation. The artwork develops through changing intensities, synchronized movement and audiovisual progression unfolding over time.

We developed the project as a fully integrated audiovisual installation in which sound and light operate as one interconnected compositional system. Spatial audio extends the visual rhythm into the surrounding environment, reinforcing repetition, scale and continuity across the installation space. The work treats rhythm itself as an architectural and temporal structure unfolding through synchronized audiovisual transformation.

PROJECT SCOPE
  • Role of Sound
Sound extends the visual rhythm of the installation into public space, reinforcing scale, movement and temporal progression.
  • Mode of Encounter
Visitors encounter the work as an immersive new media artwork integrated into the public environment of the Festival of Lights Berlin.
  • Sound Logic
Sound and light evolve through synchronized rhythmic transformations unfolding as one continuously shifting audiovisual composition.
  • Source Material
The work is based on rhythmic pulse structures translated into coordinated sound and light sequences.
  • Production Role
We developed the concept, audiovisual installation, composition and multichannel audio environment for the project.
  • Sound System
A multichannel audio environment formed part of the installation’s synchronized audiovisual composition.
