AI MUSIC is an interactive exhibition installation created for Futurium exploring how humans and artificial intelligence can create music together. The project presents music production as a playable and accessible encounter, inviting visitors to experiment with digital instruments and AI-supported musical systems.
Across three stations, visitors can compose a track, conduct a virtual band, or improvise with an AI-powered instrument. Each station demonstrates a different relationship between human input and machine-generated musical behavior, moving from structured interaction toward spontaneous musical exchange.
One of the stations uses neural-network-based systems including Piano Genie and A.I. Duet (Magenta). These tools allow visitors to perform complex musical material using only eight keys, either alone or together with the machine. The installation frames AI music creation as an intuitive and playful process shaped through direct interaction.
For the project, we developed the overall concept together with the technical planning, music composition, sound design, interaction design, programming, mix and master, and on-site implementation.
