KUKA BRAND EXPERIENCE is an adaptive showroom where visitor movement activates sound in real time. Across interactive installations and ambient worlds, music and exhibit sounds respond continuously to position, pace, and spatial movement.

KUKA Brand Experience is an adaptive showroom developed for KUKA AG in Augsburg. Across more than 400 square meters, seven interactive installations are connected through a continuous sound environment built from three ambient worlds.

The showroom combines tracking technology with a real-time audio engine. As visitors move through the space, compositions, ambient layers, and exhibit sounds are activated according to their position and pace. This allows the exhibition to unfold differently for each visitor while maintaining a consistent sonic structure throughout the environment.

PROJECT SCOPE
  • Role Of Sound
Sound connects the showroom’s interactive installations into one coherent sonic environment and responds directly to visitor movement throughout the space.
  • Mode Of Encounter
Visitors move individually through the showroom while compositions, ambient layers, and sound events change according to their position and pace.
  • Sound Logic
Musical ambiences and sound events remain rhythmically and harmonically synchronized, allowing the space to stay sonically coherent despite constantly changing movement patterns.
  • Source Material
The sonic environment combines compositions, ambient layers, exhibit sounds, and material derived from KUKA’s sonic identity.
  • Production Role
We developed the sound concept, composed and produced the music, created the sound design, built the interactive audio player, mixed the system on site, and implemented the audio environment within the showroom.
  • Sound System
The audio engine is connected to the showroom’s tracking system and activates sound content according to visitor position across more than 400 square meters.
The KUKA showroom

At the center of the showroom stands a large robotic installation in which robotic arms continuously assemble and transform geometric structures. The changing choreography of movement, projection, and sound contributes to the showroom’s shifting audiovisual atmosphere.

We designed the sonic system as a synchronized environment in which composition, sound design, and visitor movement remain closely connected. Our work included the sound concept, music composition and production, sound design, development of the interactive audio player, mix and master, and on-site implementation.
