UNHATE is an artistic intervention against hate speech in digital spaces. We created music and sound for three distinct aesthetic modes within the immersive media experience developed for Deutsche Telekom.

UNHATE is an immersive artistic intervention developed for Deutsche Telekom to address the omnipresence of hate speech in digital spaces. The project transforms real online hate comments into aesthetic visual artworks that can be published as replies to the original posts. The installation was developed by Elastique. in collaboration with florafaunavisions.
The experience introduced three distinct artistic modes — Mindful, Playful, and Progressive — each opening a different visual and atmospheric world. Visitors could select one of these modes to transform a chosen hate comment into an audiovisual response generated through AI-supported systems and artistic interpretation.
We developed the musical and sonic identity for all three modes. Our work focused on creating distinct sound worlds that support the atmosphere and pacing of the visual transformations. Multiple compositions were created for each mode, shaping how the intervention unfolds spatially and emotionally within the immersive environment.
The project was presented at Mobile World Congress 2022 in Barcelona as part of Deutsche Telekom’s broader initiative against hate speech and online toxicity.
