I am code in a space is a sound art installation about an artificial intelligence developing a speaking voice. Generative sound makes the learning process audible.
YEAR 2020
The piece follows an artificial intelligence as it develops a speaking voice from chaotic frequencies. During the training process, the machine orders those frequencies until they approach something close to human speech.
The learning algorithm becomes a way to listen to digital space: present in everyday life, but difficult to perceive in its full structure.
I AM CODE IN A SPACE was displayed at the Reeperbahn Festival in 2020 as part of the Future Playground.
