Myriad

Museum // Exhibition

Myriad is an immersive exhibition at Frankfurter Kunstverein about global animal migration and connected ecosystems. We created a spatial sound environment that forms a musical ecosystem, with sonic and haptic feedback supporting interaction.

MYRIAD is a project by the Interactive Media Foundation and Filmtank in co-creation with Miiqo Studios, Context Film and Artificial Rome. The installation MYRIAD. Where we connect. was produced with the support of the Frankfurter Kunstverein for the exhibition.

MYRIAD. Where we connect. is an artistic exploration of global animal migrations and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. Presented at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, the installation combines art, science, and storytelling to translate complex ecological data into an emotional experience.

Divided into the realms of Water, Air, and Land, the exhibition follows the journeys of migrating species — their paths, obstacles, and changing habitats. Visitors move through these chapters as through living environments, each shaped by sound, light, and motion, revealing the delicate equilibrium that binds all life.

The Creation Of The Sound

Spatial sound design surrounds visitors with layers of movement, while haptic feedback translates low frequencies into vibration, resonating through three carbon monoliths. Through sound and touch, visitors experience the planet’s fragile interconnectedness as something tangible and alive.
