CX Shanghai is an audiovisual installation for TX Huaihai Center that reflects the city's rhythm between day and night. Sound follows grids, light, shadow, air, and city movement.

The ambient aesthetic follows a minimalist depiction of Shanghai, shifting between day and night through grids, light, and shadow. Each visual mode has a sonic counterpart.
DAY-MODE
The day mode uses soft synth pads and breeze-like behavior, while the night mode becomes more fragmented, rhythmic, and illuminated by the energy of urban light.
For the day mode, reverb tails become the source material for calm, air-like synth pads.
NIGHT-MODE
The vivid night mode is visually inspired by urban media facades and colourful neon lights. For the night mode, granular synthesis of neon-light recordings creates delicate percussive material.
