GEFÜHLSRAUSCHEN translates brainwaves and emotional states into an evolving audiovisual composition. The installation combines live sensor data, AI-based interpretation, sound, and light within a shared interactive setting.

OUR ROLE Music Composition, Sound Design, Programming // COMMISSIONED BY Bayern Design // ARTIST Yves Peitzner // CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST Davide Santini // LIGHT SCULPTURE SUPPORT Atelier Steffen Kehrle, 507 Nanometer // YEAR 2025

GEFÜHLSRAUSCHEN is an interactive audiovisual installation by Yves Peitzner / TISH exploring how brainwave activity and emotional states can be translated into shared visual and sonic compositions. Commissioned by bayern design, the work combines live sensor data, AI-based interpretation, generative sound, and light within a collective setting.

Three participants simultaneously enter the installation while brainwave sensors capture aspects of their emotional state in real time. The resulting signals are interpreted and transformed into continuously evolving audiovisual compositions. A central light sculpture reacts dynamically to the changing emotional relationships generated between the participants.

Sound continuously adapts to the incoming emotional and neurological data, shaping how shifts within the interaction become perceptible over time. The generative sound system forms part of the installation’s evolving audiovisual behavior.

We developed the generative sound layer for the project, translating live emotional interpretation and brainwave activity into continuously changing sonic compositions.

PROJECT SCOPE
  • Role Of Sound
Sound translated emotional states and brainwave activity into a continuously evolving musical composition shared between participants.
  • Mode Of Encounter
Three participants entered the installation simultaneously while their emotional states shaped a shared audiovisual environment in real time.
  • Sound Logic
The generative sound system continuously adapted to live emotional interpretation and brainwave activity during the interaction.
  • Source Material
The generative sound system used live brainwave data and AI-interpreted emotional states as the basis for its evolving sonic behavior.
  • Production Role
We developed the generative sound layer for the interactive audiovisual installation.
  • Sound System
Sound was distributed through a multichannel audiovisual setup integrated into the installation.
