I AM NOT A ROBOT is an interactive 3D sound installation where visitors generate and manipulate sound on a central stage. Across 24 loudspeakers, a staged machine-like sonic entity gradually emerges and begins to act independently.

I Am Not A Robot is an interactive sound and light work centered around a walk-in stage that functions as the visible and sonic core of the installation. Visitors generate and manipulate sound while standing inside the structure, surrounded by a network of loudspeakers and illuminated connections.

As interaction unfolds, the sound environment gradually develops into a machine-like presence. The installation stages a shift in control: visitors initially shape the sonic behavior themselves before the entity begins to react independently. The audience then moves from active participation into observation.

All hardware components are integrated into the spatial design. The central stage acts as the entity’s “brain,” connected by illuminated strings to 24 loudspeakers distributed throughout the room. Together, these elements form the visible body of the installation.
We developed the 3D sound mixing and performed the sonic layer of the work, shaping how the sound moves, evolves, and accumulates across the multichannel environment.
